The Fringe Archaeology of Jebel al Lawz (Mount Sinai Canidate) with Steve Rudd

Steve Rudd makes several great points as to why much of the archaeology of Jebel al Lawz does not support the mountain as a candidate for Mount Sinai. He does believe that there geographical possibilities that support this mountain as Sinai. I agree with his assessment of the archaeology, but his geography is way off. Jebel al  Lawz cannot be Sinai because the geography of the route of the Exodus does not even lead to modern day Saudi Arabia. More later! See video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WltSouTvLjs

Documentery and Book: Riddle of the Exodus

From YouTube: "Based on the book of the same name, Riddle of the Exodus reveals the startling evidence found in the ancient Egyptian sources that parallels the narrative in the Torah, as well as centuries-old Jewish texts."  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGiX9Ekmhgo      This is an amazing documentary by Jim Long that shows the Exodus from the original Jewish perspective. Lots of information to search out. I will explore some of this information at a later date.   The book looks good too! It is on my list! https://www.amazon.com/Riddle-Exodus-Startling-Parallels-Archaeological/dp/0971938873

The Top Five Controversies of the Exodus

Here is a list I made up of what I believe the top five debated topics are concerning the Exodus of God's people the Hebrews from Egypt. This is one of the foundational stories of all the Old Testament and the New Testament as well. Jesus (Yeshua) and the apostles refereed to this story many times. It is so important that we see this story the way God (Yahweh) sees it. Even though this list is mainly about time frames and locations, these things are important to God. Israel was called to remember what He did in the Exodus (Exodus 13:3, Deut. 8:18 and 9:7). For those of us who are believers in Jesus we are called to dive deep into the roots of out faith. It is such an amazing journey that draws us closer to Him! 1. When was the date of the Exodus? 2. How long were the Hebrews in Egypt? 3. Where is the Red Sea? 4. Where is Mount Sinai? 5. What were the routes the Hebrews took from Egypt to the Promised Land?   I hope to explore these questions in the coming months and years on this

Menorah Inscription Near Mount Sinai in Arabia Destroyed

I just found out that the 7 branch menorah inscription that was located near Mount Sinai in Arabia has been destroyed. This was one of the most fascinating discoveries in the area. It was found in 2006 by Dr. Sung Hak Kim. So thankful it was found before it was destroyed!   Check out the post with pictures from Discovered Media and scroll down to December 20:  https://www.facebook.com/discoveredmedia/ Also check out more about the menorah inscription in these books: Mount Sinai in Arabia by Joel Richardson pages 141-142 The Exodus Case 4th Edition by Lennart Moller pages 368-269
